About the Event

The human rights movement is at a pivotal moment. The erosion of the post–World War II order, the rise of authoritarianism, and the contraction of civic and financial spaces that once sustained human rights norms and institutions reveal not only an external threat, but an internal crisis as well.  Defending human rights demands a renewed political vision and investment—one that is able to manage some of the new challenges created by AI and disinformation, that resonates with a wider range of people and fields, and that rebuilds trust in rights and reclaims the moral and collective imagination that originally gave rise to the legal frameworks designed to protect citizens rights.

With this LINKAGES program NEID Global intends to help donors better understand the challenges facing human rights norms and institutions today and to create entry points for philanthropists seeking to get involved in shaping the future of human rights policy…
