People, Power, Justice: A Conversation with EarthRights International

Following Indigenous Peoples’ Day, join EarthRights International, Unitarian Universalist Service Committee (UUSC), True Costs Initiative, and NEID for a conversation on Indigenous solidarity.

Julianna Bravo Valencia, Colombian human rights lawyer and regional director of EarthRights’ Latin America program, will share her experience representing Indigenous communities in some of the biggest cases in the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, including one of the last communities in voluntary self-isolation. 

Salote Soqo, UUSC’s Director of Advocacy, will share her experience advocating for Indigenous rights at the national and international level, including communities who’ve been displaced by the climate crisis.
