About the Event
The pandemic has disproportionately impacted marginalized communities – primarily, migrant workers, women, and girls who have lost access to basic needs such as education, healthcare, nutrition, and livelihood. These communities are also more susceptible to COVID-19. Women and girls are especially vulnerable as an estimated 87 million women and girls are living in extreme poverty in India in 2020 and this number is expected to increase to around 100 million by 2021 in the wake of the pandemic. Join usto learn what the greatest needs are, lessons learned, creative solutions being used, and opportunities to support these efforts.
