NEID is a vibrant community of engaged global philanthropists learning, giving, investing and partnering together to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and human rights for all. Through strategic networking, educational opportunities, and information sharing its members aim to spark donor action and collaboration. By coming together to share knowledge and experience, NEID members can become increasingly generous and committed philanthropists for global social change.
NEID hosts close to 40 events annually including panel discussions, a symposium, several Giving Circles and intimate gatherings. Through these events we feature major leaders in the field of international philanthropy and development.
Working closely with NEID staff, the Intern will provide ongoing administrative and programmatic support across the spectrum of NEID’s operations, assisting the NEID team on overall social media outreach, events, and processes: including programming, research, writing, and website design. While a portion of the work will be administrative in nature, the Intern will be a major player in the organization of NEID’s annual Gala, our bi-annual Symposium, and building out our new Member Portal through member outreach and video editing. In addition, NEID is transitioning to Salesforce and thus the Intern will be asked to help us populate and update data in our new Salesforce Membership database. Individuals assigned to this position may perform other duties as assigned.
Preparation, Knowledge, Previous Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in progress required.
Skills, Abilities, Competencies:
Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills required;
Creative thinker, eager to master new systems and brainstorm innovative design techniques;
Knowledge of and interest in philanthropy and international development issues;
Experience with Salesforce and database management a preference;
The ability to plan, think analytically, pay attention to detail and follow through;
Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Word, Canva, Excel, and PowerPoint;
Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple tasks; and
Experience with social media content creation and platform management.
