California HUB Lead

Position Summary: 

Established in 2008, Network for Engaged International Donors (NEID Global) is a membership organization for donors interested in international giving. It provides a community for globally-minded funders and their advisors to connect, learn, and act with greater clarity and purpose in their philanthropic efforts.. We aspire to create a world where international funders and grant partners work closely together to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure peace and human rights for all. 

 

The California HUB Lead will support NEID Global’s efforts to establish a presence in California and help build an active donor member community in the state. This is a highly flexible and people-centered role that involves a great deal of networking, bold creativity, as well as event management. A central responsibility of this position is to support the NEID Global team with member engagement and prospect outreach in California. 

 

Essential Functions and Deliverables:

  • Leads member and prospect outreach in CA. This will mostly take the form of:

    • Coordinating with HQ on priorities and logistics;

    • Attending global philanthropy events in CA to identify new prospects and support outreach to new members and existing prospects; 

    • Following-up with pipeline of prospects ensuring appropriate touch points are made;

    • Tracking data about existing members and prospects in CA, ensuring whole team is informed and information properly logged in member and prospect database;

    • Supporting organization of 3-5 in-person events annually in the CA area

  • Acts as a bridge between CA Hub and NEID Global HQ on California-based in-person programming, e.g., sharing notes from meetings with local Member Steering Committee, summarizing ideas and needs in California, and coordinating with the NEID Global team on overall logistics.

  • Support of NEID’s overall prospecting, membership engagement, and event management nationally

 

Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

  • Experienced networker with outgoing personality, effective in cultivating relationships;

  • Knowledge of and experience in philanthropy and/or international development;

  • Self-motivated team player with an adaptive work style, who exhibits excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, and analytical skills;

  • An active listener who is personable, welcoming, and articulate;

  • A fundraising background preferred;

  • Experience with Google Workspace, Asana, Salesforce and database management preferred.

 

This is a part-time position with flexible hours varying from week to week (10-15 hours week).  Compensation is $2.500/month

This role is hybrid, but must be based in San Francisco, California.
