Each year, Groundswell International holds a festival showcasing the short films produced by dozens of youth from smallholder farmer communities participating in its Youth Storyteller Program. This edition's theme focuses on the stories of Women Farmers, aligning with the UN’s theme for 2026. Nawi, a thirteen year old girl disscovers her father is selling her to a much older man in exchange for a herd of goats. Defying tradition, Nawi fights her forced marriage to pursue her dream of attending high school.
