Going Closer to the Ground: Lessons from Funding Grassroots | Dasra

February 23, at 6:30pm IST/8:00am PT/8:00am ET/2:00pm CET/1:00pm GMT | Virtual

We’re bringing together Adam Khorakiwala (Group CFO, SwitzGroup), Rati Forbes (Director, Forbes Marshall), and Rajiv Khanna (Vice President, Thousand Currents) for a candid conversation about what funding grassroots work actually looks like in practice. Through personal journeys, real dilemmas, and hard-earned lessons, they’ll reflect on why they chose to move closer to communities, what worked, and what challenged their assumptions along the way. The conversation moves beyond the idea of grassroots as 'small' or 'risky', and instead explores how trust-based, flexible support at the ground level can unlock deep, lasting impact - and why, for many funders, it has become one of the most meaningful ways to give. This is a closed-door learning space organised within Dasra Philanthropy Week, and we would really love to have you join us. Learn more and register here.
