We invite you to join us for our first Global Academy! The Academy is an immersive, in-person experience focused on building solidarity with grassroots movements in the Global South. The goal of the Academy is to support participants to move more unrestricted, long-term, and flexible funding to movements in the Global South, with practices rooted in mutual trust and accountability. Through movement-led facilitation, site visits to local movement partners, and individual and collective reflections, this Academy will be a unique opportunity to reflect together on how to build transnational solidarity, learning from internationalist movements while exploring new pathways for collaboration. MOSAIC Information Session

MOSAIC seeks to advance promising science, diagnostics, therapeutics, care models, and enabling infrastructure from discovery through validation, commercialization, adoption, and scale. MOSAIC aligns philanthropic, public, and private capital around a shared investment logic: identify where high-potential opportunities are stalled, match each bottleneck with the right form of capital, and build pathways relevant for both high-income and low- and middle-income markets from the outset. MOSAIC will hold its first virtual information session on August 12, 2026 at 11 AM PT/2 PM ET for prospective funding partners. The session will: 

• Introduce MOSAIC’s vision and blended-capital approach

• Explain why menstrual disorders remain a profoundly neglected global health challenge

• Highlight how emerging science is reshaping our understanding of these conditions, creating new possibilities for research, diagnosis, treatment, and care. 

• Explore why the growing alignment of scientific progress, market interest, and public-sector engagement creates an important moment for catalytic philanthropy.

Innovations in Global Health: Strategic Philanthropy Learning Journey to Tanzania | Philanthropy Insight in partnership with the Gates Foundation

August 30 – September 4, 2026 | Tanzania

Tanzania ranks in the top three among the exemplar African countries with the potential for disproportionate impact and openness to strategic philanthropic partnerships. This is an opportunity to explore the role of philanthropic capital in systems change, how it can be deployed most impactfully, and how to develop meaningful, impactful partnerships with local stakeholders, as expatriate funders. We will meet with organisations who work at the intersection of global health, nutrition, education, climate and equity. A range of organisations to visit have been chosen, all doing exceptional work in different ways. We will also see things that don't work, relationships that are complex, situations that are slow and frustrating and systems that fail, so you can experience both exciting innovations and opportunities alongside the reality of working in a low-resource setting. Immersive trip | MicroLoan Foundation

Join NEID board member Steve Mark October 18-25 for an immersive trip to visit the South Africa operations of MicroLoan Foundation, which has provided training, digital financial services, and working capital to over 575,000 women entrepreneurs across southern Africa. We will attend Microloan 'Centre' Meetings - gatherings of women entrepreneurs who meet to receive financial literacy and business training and learn from each other, delivered through song, dance and roleplay as part of our inclusive and accessible format.  Most importantly, you will meet some fantastic business owners.
