"Show Up With No Shame:" Pride Around the World
June 26, 2025 | Virtual
Join Outright International as we launch of our new report "Show Up With No Shame:" Pride Around the World in 2024, which traces and analyses the evolution of Pride and other LGBTIQ visibility events globally. This year's report finds that in 2024, Pride events were held in at least 100 UN member states, and in at least 65 countries, Pride events were held in locations outside the capital city. The report includes seven in-depth case studies from Japan, Brazil, Côte d'Ivoire, Canada, Global Black Pride, and Sweden; brief snapshots of the experiences of migrants and disabled queer people at Prides in different parts of the world; and a personal account on the challenges faced by LGBTIQ activists when holding Pride and conducting LGBTIQ advocacy in the Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA) region. You can hear Outright International's research team and key partners share their reflections at the webinar to launch the report on Thursday, June 26th at 8am PT/11am ET - register here to join us!
