Learning Journey to the Brazilian Amazon | Thousand Currents

This experience, offered exclusively to a small group of philanthropic leaders, will provide rare, experiential insights into the interwoven efforts of caring for the forest, defending territory, and creating models of food, energy, and economic justice that inspires far beyond the region.
This journey is made possible because of the deep relationships Thousand Currents has built with partners over many years. The deadline to register is February 16th!

Meeting the Moment: Kenya's Feminist Leaders | Global Fund for Women
June 17 - June 24, 2026 | Kenya
Global Fund for Women is inviting supporters to join a travel and learning journey to Kenya from June 17–24, 2026. Right now, women across the globe are facing the impacts of rising authoritarianism and conservative forces intent on undoing decades of hard-won gains in the fight for equality.
In Kenya, women and young feminist leaders are meeting this moment by surging back with a ferocity never seen before, creating a “youthquake” of activism. Together, you will learn from and be in community with these bold activists on the frontlines of forging a more equitable, inclusive, and healthy future for all Kenyans.
The journey also aligns with the global Abortion & Reproductive Justice Conference in Nairobi, where you'll hear insider perspectives from sexual and reproductive health justice advocates across Africa. The trip will be accompanied by an incredible Kenya Trip Advisory Committee. Space is highly limited—learn more and register here.

Innovations in Global Health: Strategic Philanthropy Learning Journey to Tanzania | Philanthropy Insight in partnership with the Gates Foundation
30 August – 4 September, 2026 | Tanzania
Tanzania ranks in the top three among the exemplar African countries with the potential for disproportionate impact and openness to strategic philanthropic partnerships. This is an opportunity to explore the role of philanthropic capital in systems change, how it can be deployed most impactfully, and how to develop meaningful, impactful partnerships with local stakeholders, as expatriate funders. We will meet with organisations who work at the intersection of global health, nutrition, education, climate and equity. A range of organisations to visit have been chosen, all doing exceptional work in different ways. We will also see things that don't work, relationships that are complex, situations that are slow and frustrating and systems that fail, so you can experience both exciting innovations and opportunities alongside the reality of working in a low-resource setting. If interested please see the detailed information sheet or reach out to Jo Ensor at jo@philanthropyinsight.co.uk.
