About the Event
Persistent hunger, climate change and Covid-19 have underscored the precarious and unjust nature of high-input, global trade-based food systems. A critical challenge is ensuring that families have enough healthy food to eat today while strengthening truly sustainable food systems for future generations.
Agroecology movements, in all of their diversity, offer an ambitious vision and practical plan for food systems that are truly regenerative and circular, benefiting both people and planet. During this giving circle, we will engage in conversation and debate with academic researchers, small farmers from the Global South, Indigenous People, UN agencies, the private sector and more to seek solutions to our broken food system. Together, we will identify giving strategies that make a difference.
This year's Giving Circle on Agroecology and Food Systems will be led by Daniel Moss of the AgroEcology Fund and Jessica Brown of the New England Biolabs Foundation.
