About the Event
Members are invited to a virtual book club event to discuss an excellent new book for understanding how Haiti has come to its near failed-state status:
AID STATE: Elite Panic, Disaster Capitalism, and the Battle to Control Haiti.
Joined by its author, Jake Johnston, we will discuss the book’s argument that foreign interference and misguided forms of aid have harmed Haiti under the guise of helping it.
