Connected Movements Win: Investing in Cross-border Learning, Collaboration, and Solidarity
How do ideas travel across borders? What happens when activists have the space to learn from one another? Can connection turn into concrete change?
In this session, hear from Dunja Bonacci Skenderović, Director of Safe Places in Croatia and a leading researcher on femicide, and Meliha Sendić, Executive Director of the Center of Women’s Rights in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through a convening supported by Global Fund for Women—and the connections it sparked—they found rare space to exchange strategies and build alliances across borders. This shared learning evolved into collective advocacy to advance femicide laws—now passed or underway in both of their countries. Join Emily Nielsen Jones of the Imago Dei Fund, PeiYao Chen of the Global Fund for Women, and NEID to explore how investing in connection and learning can fuel lasting impact.
